The Scotch-Brite™ Brush Disc features ceramic abrasive grain and molded, flexible bristles that provide more surface contact than wire brushes and maintain abrasive performance throughout the life of the disc. The brush discs remove paint, stains, adhesives, weld spatter, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from large areas.
The Scotch-Brite™ Brush Disc is designed to last longer than other abrasive discs. It performs well on aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and other metals. Under normal use, the flexible bristles stay securely in place and achieve the desired finish with light pressure. They contain no loose metal filaments and are therefore safer to use. These discs feature 3M™ ceramic aluminum oxide blend, engineered to enhance the strength and hardness of the abrasive grain for optimal performance. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend is designed to fracture regularly, providing longer life and better durability than conventional aluminum oxide abrasives. Ideal for medium- to heavy-duty stock removal and finishing, ceramic abrasives are designed to cut fast and withstand high heat and grinding pressure. Scotch-Brite abrasive products are unique surface conditioning products with abrasives incorporated into a fiber matrix. Combining abrasives with fiber creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product’s life. The open web material runs cool, resists loading, and maintains the cutting performance of the abrasive minerals by limiting fiber clogging.
