Its new open web construction, resin bond, and silicon carbide mineral combine to create a durable disc for cleaning and finishing. Thanks to the flexible web structure, these discs conform even better to the shape of the workpiece, increasing the contact area for faster cleaning. The disc conforms to uneven weld seams, for example, cleaning the seam effectively while helping reach difficult areas without damaging the surface being treated. Silicon carbide cleans efficiently and leaves a fine finish. It effectively removes unwanted burrs, stains, and contaminants without damaging the geometry of the workpiece. This reduces the need for rework and helps improve productivity. Grinding dust also does not accumulate in the open web structure, which helps prevent clogging of the abrasive product. The disc maintains consistent performance throughout the life of the abrasive, as the resin bond reinforcing the disc gradually breaks down during use, continuously exposing fresh fiber and sharp silicon carbide abrasive mineral. The highly durable fiber material does not splinter and also withstands edge work. These discs produce less vibration and fewer sparks, can be used at higher speeds, and deliver long service life.
