The multi-hole disc removes dust more effectively than 5- or 6-hole products, increasing cut rate and significantly extending disc life. The design does not require alignment of the holes with the backup pad, making disc changes quick and easy.

This disc features 3M precision-shaped ceramic grain, a revolutionary advancement in abrasive technology. The triangular ceramic mineral is engineered to cut through the surface rather than gouge or plow like conventional abrasives. The result is a disc that cuts up to two times faster and lasts up to six times longer than traditional abrasives. The open coat construction means the abrasive grains are spaced with room between them, helping remove dust and other sanding debris and preventing clogging of the abrasive mineral. Thanks to the load-resistant coating, the disc can keep sanding even on soft woods, paints, and other materials that would normally clog the disc and reduce sanding performance. All of this boosts productivity and reduces material consumption. Sanding discs maintain their cutting performance longer and last longer when the disc does not become clogged with dust. The film backing provides excellent tear resistance, flexibility, and a consistent finish on a variety of surfaces.

These discs are ideal for a wide variety of applications, especially material removal, and are suitable for sanding many different surfaces, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. For best dust extraction, use this disc with a 3M Xtract™ backup pad and a random orbital sander with vacuum capability.
