Elga P48S welding electrode 4.0 mm

P 48S is a basic-coated, low-hydrogen all-purpose electrode. It is optimized as a general-purpose DC electrode, with the electrode connected to the positive (+) terminal. In this setup, P 48S provides a soft, stable arc, easy slag control, good weldability in all positions, low spatter, and excellent slag release. P 48S combines the controllability required for demanding pipe welding with good molten pool control achieved through a “hot” welding process, as well as easy welding of a consistent, even root bead, together with the versatility required for general steel structure welding. Good impact toughness properties down to -40 °C.
