See better and farther with new color-optimized LEDs
Thanks to the new color-optimized LEDs, colors appear even better and beam distance is improved, especially in challenging conditions. The flood beam’s color temperature (5500 K) and good color rendering index (CRI 80) let you see colors more naturally, accurately, and clearly. In addition, the light performs better than typical cool white LEDs in rain, fog, or snow by reducing glare. The spotlight’s new SST40 LED (6500 K) is optimized for longer distances, allowing you to clearly see distant targets or when moving especially fast and beam reach is important.
Two powerful beam patterns give you even more possibilities
The HM65R SUPERRAPTOR 2 headlamp features high-quality beam patterns that illuminate both wide areas and long distances (max. 170 m). The spotlight mode is at its best when you are moving fast or otherwise want to see far ahead, such as during cycling, high-speed running, search tasks, or work use. The special flood beam of the SUPERRAPTOR 2 pleasantly lights up the immediate surroundings. Its color-optimized LEDs are ideal, for example, as a work light and are also excellent as a forward beam for walking, hiking, or illuminating wide areas. You can also use the independently operated flood and spotlight beams at the same time, giving a maximum total output of 1500 lm. The high-performance LEDs produce up to 1300 lm in spotlight mode and up to 500 lm in flood mode. The SUPERRAPTOR 2 headlamp is optimized for all tasks and conditions with excellent illumination performance and the right beam pattern for the job.
The all-new quick-adjust Sport-Fit headband is wider and more comfortable
The completely redesigned Sport-Fit headband of the SUPERRAPTOR 2 is now wider, quick-adjustable, and quick-release. We made these improvements based on user feedback to make the lamp easier to use. The new wide (36 mm) headband is comfortable to wear, and thanks to the quick-adjust dial mechanism, you can adjust the band precisely and quickly to the right size by simply turning the dial. Headband adjustment has never been this easy. You can also choose whether to use the headlamp with just the main headband or together with the top strap. In addition, both straps can now be easily detached from the lamp, allowing you to convert the headlamp into a helmet light, for example for a bicycle helmet, by attaching the Fenix ALG-03 V2 helmet mount to the lamp (helmet mount sold separately). Thanks to the Fenix Air headband structure, the strap material is less sweaty and dries faster. It is also about 30% lighter than a conventional headband.
Super-light magnesium body
The HM65R SUPERRAPTOR 2 is made using magnesium Mg, one of the lightest metals in the world. As a result, the SUPERRAPTOR 2 headlamp is over 30% lighter than similarly sized aluminum headlamps. Lightweight design is one of the most important factors affecting wearing comfort when choosing a headlamp.
Super-fast USB-C charging
Another important factor when choosing a headlamp is how quickly it can be made ready for use. The SUPERRAPTOR 2 charges up to three times faster than conventional headlamps. Fast USB Type-C charging (the same connector used by most mobile phones) charges the lamp at up to 1.5 A. Charging indicator lights show the charging progress and remaining battery level.
Exceptionally comfortable to use
The SUPERRAPTOR 2 headlamp not only looks like a premium PRO-class headlamp, it is also extremely well-balanced and comfortable to use. The reflector cones are angled so that in typical use there is no need to adjust the beam angle, as the beam pattern remains at an optimal lighting angle. Both beams of the SUPERRAPTOR 2 are positioned in the center of the lamp, so the light pattern is always optimally centered in the user’s field of view rather than off to the side.
Brighter for even longer
The SUPERRAPTOR 2 features a new upgraded GEN2 circuit, which helps the light maintain brighter and more powerful output for longer. The lamp also has an efficient cooling system that increases performance, reduces power consumption, and makes it extremely safe to use even at maximum output.
Forget customized and expensive specialty batteries
The SUPERRAPTOR 2 runs on one standard 18650 Li-ion rechargeable battery or cold-resistant CR123A batteries. The lamp comes with a powerful 3400 mAh 18650 Fenix ARB-L18 battery. The Fenix ARB-L18 is a safe Li-ion rechargeable battery featuring a fivefold protection circuit, and it is also protected by a steel cylindrical shell against external bumps and impacts.
