Description
The thread of the aerated concrete screw is developed for porous materials such as aerated concrete and lightweight aggregate blocks. The countersunk head screw is equipped with cutting grooves to reduce the risk of overdriving and to facilitate countersinking into wood.
Installation:
The aerated concrete screw can be installed directly into aerated concrete/lightweight aggregate block without pre-drilling. A torque-controlled screwdriver is recommended for installation. To avoid overtightening, it is recommended to use a low speed. Overtightening may cause thread slippage, which can lead to a significant reduction in load capacity and require reinstallation.
Installation
1. The aerated concrete screw is driven directly into aerated concrete or lightweight aggregate block; pre-drilling is not required.
In wood: pre-drilling should be considered depending on the application. It may be necessary if installation takes place close to an edge, if the material is brittle, or if the aerated concrete or lightweight aggregate block is of poor quality, etc.
