The Etanco - Gunnebo GTX 12 SP panel screw is a self-tapping (dual-thread) drill screw. Made of stainless steel (A2) with a bi-metal drill point #5. Designed for installing sandwich panels to hot-rolled steel structures. It features an extra-fine thread, an 8 mm hex head, a pre-assembled metal washer, and a vulcanized EPDM rubber sealing washer. The ceramic gRey.coat t:1000h coating provides strong corrosion protection, enables use in harsh conditions, and helps prevent galling. The corrosion class is C5, the drilling capacity is 4–12 mm, and the 6.3 mm thread diameter ensures very high tensile and shear strength. ETA approved. Etanco GTX 12 SP is a self-drilling screw specifically designed for fastening sandwich panels to hot-rolled steel structures. The screw is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and performs well even in demanding conditions (C5 corrosion environments). Thanks to its stainless steel (A2) and hardened steel construction (bi-metal), it is suitable for use in corrosive environments such as industrial or coastal areas. Use a screwdriver with an adjustable clutch or depth stop to avoid overtightening the screw. The recommended speed is no more than 1300 revolutions per minute (rpm). The screw must be installed perpendicular to the structure. The recommended tightening torque is 5 Nm. The screws must not be modified (for example, cut), and any damaged corrosion-protection coating must be repaired after installation.
