Set screws
Set screws, grub screws. These products are used mainly in shaft assemblies to lock, for example, a bearing onto a shaft or into a bearing housing, and as adjustment screws, for example, to limit movement. A set screw is what is known as “headless,” with the drive recessed into one end of the product. Several different types are available depending on the application, such as flat point DIN913, cup point DIN916, cone point DIN914, and dog point DIN915.
The most commonly used material is carbon steel, with HR45 hardness, for set screws. Other materials include stainless steel A2 and acid-resistant stainless steel A4.
Set screws provide reliable and precise fastening solutions, especially for applications that require a secure, non-moving joint. These durable and carefully engineered screws are suitable for many industrial and construction applications, where their wear-resistant design ensures a firm hold even in demanding conditions. Choose high-quality set screws to ensure your project’s fastenings meet all required quality and safety standards and withstand long-term use.
