The patented wave thread on Spax screws cuts wood fibers more efficiently than a traditional wave thread, and the 4CUT point helps prevent wood from splitting more effectively than a conventional point. Effectively reduces splitting in wood material, even close to the edge. The cutting ribs on the countersunk head bite into wood and stop at metal. For outdoor use, stainless steel A2 provides corrosion protection.
