SPAX universal screw pan head full thread 5x50 T20 A2 (100 pcs/pack)
The typical SPAX T-STAR plus drive is a so-called internal hexalobular design. This shape increases the contact surface of the T-STAR plus screwdriver and ensures optimal positioning of T-STAR plus bits in the screw head. By enabling maximum power transfer from the screwdriver to the screw, T-STAR plus guarantees simple and very fast work, much more efficiently than with other drives.
Screw connections can also be real eye-catchers when needed, and our universal screw with a rounded head is a perfect example! The spherical screw head with a T-STAR plus or cross recess Z drive is suitable for visible fastening of metal parts to wood. The underside of the head sits flush against the metal. At the same time, the WIROX coating blends in with the silver color of the metal parts.
Unlike a partial thread, a full thread extends over the entire length of the screw. The more threads a screw has, the greater the tensile and compressive forces these screws can transfer into the wood. Our fully threaded screws are used primarily for heavy-duty wood connections.
The term 4CUT refers to the arrow-shaped design of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibers as the screw is driven in and create space for the core diameter of the screw. Expansion in the wood core is reduced, which helps prevent the wood from splitting around the edges. The required torque for the cordless screwdriver is also reduced, because the screw core no longer has to "force" itself into the wood.
In our stainless steel screws, the abbreviation A2 refers to the steel alloy. Screws made of A2 stainless steel offer high corrosion protection and medium strength. However, their resistance to salt water and acids is low. They are therefore used outdoors in non-coastal areas.
