The typical SPAX T-STAR plus drive is a so-called hexalobular internal drive. This shape increases the contact surface of the T-STAR plus screwdriver and ensures optimal positioning of T-STAR plus bits in the screw head. By enabling maximum power transfer from the screwdriver to the screw, T-STAR plus guarantees simple and extremely fast work, much more efficiently than with other drives.

Screw connections can also be real eye-catchers when needed, and our universal screw with a dome head is a perfect example! The spherical screw head, with a T-STAR plus or cross recess Z drive, is ideal for visible fastening of metal parts to wood. The underside of the head sits flush against the metal. At the same time, the WIROX coating blends well with the silver color of the metal parts.

Unlike a partial thread, a full thread extends along the entire length of the screw. The more threads a screw has, the greater the tensile and compressive forces these screws can transfer into the wood. Our fully threaded screws are used primarily for heavy-duty wood joints.
