- Protects against both particles and gases – one system is enough when the correct filter is selected
- Nominal protection factor up to 500 (TH3) when used with a Speedglas welding helmet
- Connects directly to any Speedglas series welding helmet
- Gas filters are sold separately as accessories (837242 or 837542)
- An odor filter (837110) can be added to the setup to help reduce unpleasant odors. This filter is not needed if a gas filter is already in use.
- Airflow can be selected from two options (170 or 200 liters per minute) to ensure user comfort
With 3M™ Adflo™ powered air respirators, you get effective protection against a variety of particles and gases encountered in welding processes. The Adflo™ respirator can be connected directly to any Speedglas™ series welding helmet, and depending on the filter used, it protects the user against both particles and gases.
Ensure effective protection against airborne contaminants generated by welding with the 3M™ Adflo™ powered air respirator. The Adflo respirator can be connected directly to any Speedglas series welding helmet, and depending on the filter used, it protects users against both particles and gases. Gas filters are sold separately (837242 or 837542). It comes with a self-adjusting breathing tube equipped with a QRS (Quick Release Swivel) connection, making it easy to connect and disconnect with one hand. The package includes an airflow indicator, prefilter, spark arrestor, particle filter, lithium-ion high-capacity battery, belt, and charger. An odor filter (837110) is available separately for work environments where unpleasant odors are present. The standard battery charges fully in approximately 5.5 hours depending on the remaining charge level. Estimated system operating time is 10–13 hours when using a new particle filter, a new fully charged battery, and normal airflow. Airflow can be easily adjusted according to the user’s needs. The nominal airflow is always 170 liters per minute regardless of battery charge or particle loading of the filter. In hot and humid work environments, airflow can be increased to 200 liters per minute for greater comfort. Thanks to the lithium-ion battery, the blower unit is nearly 20% lighter than before, making it easier for the user to maintain balance and work comfortably throughout the entire shift. A heavy-duty battery is recommended when the respirator is used together with a gas filter. In some configurations, it is also necessary to use a breathing tube with a silencer (834009). Always ask a safety engineer to verify that the configuration provides adequate protection against contaminants, or contact a certified industrial hygienist.
