The headband uses unique patented 3M™ Pressure Diffusion technology, which helps ensure a secure fit, reduces pressure around the forehead by up to 20% compared with conventional helmet suspension systems, and helps improve comfort. The brimless design provides a clear upward view so you can maintain awareness of your surroundings and avoid hazards. This white helmet features the patented 3M™ Uvicator™ indicator, which changes from red to white when exposed to damaging ultraviolet radiation. Because ultraviolet rays can make the helmet shell brittle and compromise its level of protection, the color change indicates that the helmet should be replaced. Reflective 3M™ Scotchlite™ material can also be added to improve visibility in low-light conditions. Accessories are designed to be compatible with various 3M face shields, earmuffs, and other equipment. An optional chin strap with either a magnetic buckle or plastic buckle can be added to the helmet.
