Makita CW001GZ is a 20-liter portable cooler for storing, cooling, heating, and transporting food or supplies. Makita CW001GZ travel cooler 20L XGT/LXT/12V body for storing, cooling, heating, and transporting food. Spacious 20-liter compressor-operated waterproof cool/warm box. Cooling can be set between -18° and +10°C (7 settings). Heating can be set between +30° and +60°C (7 settings). Can be used with a 40V battery, one or two 18V batteries, or via a car cigarette lighter socket. The box also features a USB port. The cool/warm box is easy to take along for picnics, camping, road trips, and of course to job sites. Excellent for use as a travel cooler, for example. Also well suited for indoor use at a cabin, in a caravan, etc. thanks to its low noise level (under 30 dB @ 1 m).
The box easily holds 20 x 500 ml bottles. The contents stay at +5°C for up to 28 hours with two 40V / 5.0Ah batteries when the ambient temperature is +30°C. If the ambient temperature is lower, runtime increases, and correspondingly decreases in warmer conditions. Cooling can be set to -18°, -15°, -10°, -15°, 0°, +5°, and +10°C. The heating function can likewise be set to +30/35/40/45/50/55/60°C.
The box’s LCD display makes it easy to check the internal temperature and battery charge level. Inside the battery compartment there is also a USB port for charging a mobile phone or headlamp, for example. For moving the box, it features large wheels, carry and pull handles, and a shoulder strap. The box can be used with Makita 18V LXT batteries or Makita 40V XGT batteries. Power consumption when connected to AC power is under 2A (AC adapter sold separately). When connected to a car 12V socket, 7A (24V / 4A). The unit only draws power while running, and for example, if a temperature of 10°C is selected, it cools the internal temperature to approx. 8°C. After that it switches to standby mode, and the compressor starts again when the internal temperature rises to 11°C.
