Designed for demanding professional use, this brushless angle grinder is compatible with 125 mm X-Lock discs. The battery-powered Makita DGA520ZX1 angle grinder is a powerful professional tool that delivers performance close to that of a corded machine. It is equipped with a brushless motor, offering not only high power and lower power consumption, but also compact size and a long service life.
Disc size 125 mm. The unique X-Lock disc change system makes changing discs fast and safe. Simply press the disc into place and it locks securely. The disc can be removed quickly and easily by turning the lever. Grinding is also possible in the tightest spaces, as there is no lock nut in the way.
Automatic speed control adjusts the RPM according to the application. When the machine is heavily loaded, the speed drops to a level that the electronic control unit can maintain steadily under load. In an overload situation, the tool shuts down. The machine’s LED light turns green when automatic speed control is activated under heavy load. A red LED light indicates an overload condition when the tool has stopped and the machine must be restarted. The electronic brake stops the disc quickly when the machine is switched off using the power switch.
Removable dust covers prevent harmful dust from entering the machine with the cooling air. They should be cleaned regularly to maximize airflow. Additional safety features include a lower safety switch and soft start. Soft start eliminates the dangerous twisting motion of the machine in the user’s hand during startup.
