The DHR242 is a powerful rotary hammer designed for professional use. Its durable and energy-efficient brushless motor delivers up to 2.0 J of impact energy, and the variable speed control allows the RPM to be adjusted to suit different tasks. The motor is positioned vertically, keeping the tool compact in size. The tool has 3 operating modes: hammer drilling, drilling without impact, and chiseling, for example for removing tiles. The rotary hammer is compatible with SDS-Plus bits, which are easy and quick to change thanks to the quick-release chuck. The Makita XPT system effectively protects the tool against water and dust even in the most demanding conditions. The maximum drilling capacity in concrete is 24 mm, with a recommended bit size of 6–12 mm.

Thanks to the vibration-dampened handle, working is very comfortable for the user. The LED light illuminates the work area, making it possible to work even in dim conditions. With the depth stop located on the side of the tool, you can ensure holes are drilled to exactly the desired depth.

A dust extraction attachment is included as standard, capturing drilling dust very efficiently. The dust collection container is quick and easy to empty. The extractor features an efficient HEPA filter that captures up to 99.99% of drilling dust. The rotary hammer is supplied in a Makpac case with two 5.0Ah batteries and a rapid charger. Charging time: 45 minutes.
