The VC006GM is Makita's first battery-powered M-class jobsite vacuum. The vacuum runs on two XGT® 40V batteries, delivering an impressive maximum voltage of 80V. Its suction power and airflow match those of corded jobsite vacuums in the same size class. The automatic filter cleaning system prevents the filters from clogging and keeps suction power high. The airflow monitor, which is part of the M-class filtration standard, gives an audible warning if airflow drops for any reason. This helps prevent dust particles from entering the room air and, in turn, the respiratory system. With the built-in AWS (Auto-start Wireless System), the tool and vacuum can communicate with each other via Bluetooth. When a Bluetooth-equipped tool is started, the vacuum starts automatically as well. When vacuuming liquids, the machine’s electronic sensors detect when the tank has reached its maximum liquid capacity. At that point, the vacuum stops suction and emits an audible signal. When vacuuming dry material, the use of a fleece dust bag is recommended. This helps ensure that the exhaust air remains clean both during operation and when emptying the container. Standard accessories include vacuum hoses in both 38 mm and 28 mm diameters, the necessary adapters for connecting to tools, suction tubes and handle, a floor nozzle and crevice nozzle, as well as a fleece dust bag. As an optional accessory, a Makita Makpac case can be attached on top of the vacuum, making it easy to carry accessories along with the vacuum.
