The robust brushless-motor DJR187 is the right choice when you need a powerful and durable reciprocating saw. The brushless motor consumes less power and is also compact—about 30% smaller and lighter than a traditional brushed motor. As the name suggests, a brushless motor has no carbon brushes creating friction and heat inside the motor, making it maintenance-free and significantly longer-lasting than a brushed motor.
Thanks to Makita Li-ion batteries and the low-power-consuming brushless motor, the DJR187 delivers long working time without constant battery changes. The tool offers two selectable stroke rates, 0–2,300 / 0–3,000, and the appropriate cutting speed can be conveniently adjusted from the switch, for example when starting a cut. The high stroke rate and 32 mm stroke length provide the power needed for demolition work and spark-free cutting. Blade changes and shoe adjustment can be done without tools. The machine also features an LED light and a hanging hook.
