Makita DJR187T reciprocating saw 18V is a powerful reciprocating saw equipped with a brushless motor. The adjustable shoe lets you limit the cutting depth or use different sections of the blade for more even wear. Two speed ranges can be continuously adjusted with the trigger switch up to 3000 min-1. The tool is equipped with a quick blade change system. Includes one 5.0Ah battery.

The DJR187 is Makita’s first reciprocating saw with a brushless motor. A brushless motor uses little power and is also compact—about 30 percent smaller and lighter than a traditional brushed motor. As the name suggests, a brushless motor has no carbon brushes creating friction and heat inside the motor, making it maintenance-free and significantly longer-lasting compared to a brushed motor.

Thanks to Makita Li-ion batteries and the low-power-consuming brushless motor, the DJR187 provides long working time without the need for constant battery changes. The tool offers two selectable stroke rates, 0-2300/0-3000, and the correct cutting speed can be conveniently adjusted from the switch, for example when starting a cut. A high stroke rate and 32 mm stroke length provide power for demolition work and spark-free cutting. Blade changes and shoe adjustment can be done without tools. The tool also features an LED light and a hanging hook.
