Designed for demanding use, this reciprocating saw features orbital action and active vibration damping. Variable speed control from the trigger in the range of 0–3,000 min⁻¹. The speed can also be limited with a separate adjustment dial in the range of 1,000–3,000 min⁻¹. The long 32 mm stroke length enables highly efficient cutting. Bare tool version without battery or charger.

In addition, operation is made easier by a generously sized trigger, two LED work lights, a wide hanging hook, and a spring-assisted blade ejection system that pushes the blade out when changing it.
JR002G is equipped with Makita AVT (Anti-Vibration Technology), which reduces vibration transmitted to the user very effectively. The Makita XPT system provides excellent protection against water and dust even in the most demanding conditions.
